Bullet 500 was introduced by Royal Enfield in 1990 after changing few characteristics of the Bullet 350 cc engine.  The crack case was more or less the same except minor changes in diameter of the cylinder seating area.  The crankshaft of the Bullet 500 motorcycle was a little bit heavier than 350cc engine.The cylinder bore size and stroke was increased to 84 mm and 90 mm respectively to generate more power.  The engine developed 22 brake horse power@5400 rpm and maximum torque was 34 nm @ 3000 rpm.  Bullet 500 was also fitted with the trusted four speed gear box of Royal Enfield 350.The top speed of the motorcycle was 125 km per hour. Bullet 500 was launched in olive green color.
