Raod Racing Season

24th October 2007

Road Racing season starts with inclusion of new categories and powerful bikes, the spectators had a blast watching all the experienced riders battle it out at the opening round of Championship. Bikes on road, off road, on race track or just about anywhere have always evoked a lot of interest not only amongst motor sports lover but also amongst general public. In fact, it is always a debate as to who attracts larger television audiences. Therefore, it was indeed a admirable effort when MMSC decided to encourage new comers by holding race events. This year championship flaunted tremendous variety. The standard fixture in the form of team TVS had serious competition from factory Yamaha Team. As the country is witnessing higher capacity bikes on roads, the organizers thought it fit to get two more categories for annual races. This proved to be crowd puller as well as increased participation on the grid.

What added to fun was the inclusion of two new groups of bike categories. It was interesting to watch open classes with experienced riders from earlier races moving onto more powerful bikes.
