In this article we will discuss about the importance of Royal Enfield tools and their usage.

General tools which are available in the market can be used in any kind of motorcycle, car and even in other application. These tools are meant for opening and fitting of certain parts in this particular motorcycle. If we try to open these parts without special tools, either particular part will not open or get damage.

To open and tighten the cylinder head nut in Royal Enfield classic 500 a special tool called cylinder head nut tightening tool which is serviceable under Royal Enfield part no.  ST-25118 – 4

Valve spring compressor is a very important tool which is used for fitting and removal of the valve in cylinder head and can be procured under Royal Enfield part no.  ST-25123 – 1

While opening magneto nut, this tool is used for holding the magneto otherwise magneto will also move in the direction of pressure applied to open or tighten the nut.  This Royal Enfield special tool is available under part no.  ST-25612-4.To remove the magneto rotor assembly a puller is used and service able under Royal Enfield part no. ST-25128.

To lock the connecting rod in its top position, connecting rod locking tool is used and can be procured under Royal Enfield part no. ST-25592-4.  And to remove crank case LH cover a puller under Royal Enfield part no.  ST-25151-4 is available.  To hold the clutch housing and sprocket while dismantling & assembling of sprocket and clutch Royal Enfield special tool part no.  ST-25591-4 and  ST-25594-4 are to be used.

While assembly and dismantle of the clutch plate first we have to compress the spring and for compressing the clutch spring special tool part no.  ST-25594-4 is used.  Royal Enfield special tool part no.  ST-25153 – 4 is used as  extractor for gear box rocker.

To remove the front drive sprocket, special tool part no.  ST-25835-2 is used for smooth removal of FD sprocket from shaft. To hold the pipe seat of front fork while dismantling main tube with bottom case, front fork dismantling tool under Royal Enfield part no. ST-25834-2 is used.  To remove oil seal from front fork end assy. (bottom case) in your Royal Enfield motorcycle, special tool part no.  ST-25114-4 called extractor for fork oil seal is used.

To avoid damage and proper fitting of oil seals in front fork end assembly a mandrel is used which is serviceable under Royal Enfield part no.  ST-25113-4.  While inserting main tube into bottom case of front fork to avoid oil seal lip damage a special tool called expender is used and this tool is serviceable under Royal Enfield part no.  ST-25112-4.  While tightening chain stay in frame of Royal Enfield classic 500, to keep an alignment a gauge to be used to keep alignment of swing arm.  This tool is available under part no.  ST-25110-3. To adjust gas filled shock absorber a special spanner adjuster part no.  ST-25244 – 4  is used.
